I’m having a, Braveheart moment. A few scenes of the movie seem to be etched in my brain and pop in at times as a reminder. Like the scene where William Wallace (Mel Gibson) is motivating his troops before battle. “They may take our lives but they can never take our FREEDOM.”
Freedom. This is such an important state of being. To feel it, to have it… to live it. To be… free. When was the last time you were totally… free? If it’s been a while don’t be surprised if you feel your soul stirring, encouraging and pushing you a bit. You might feel like something isn’t right. Something is, nagging you. Get past the guilt, doubt and fear. The answer can be easy. Listen. Answer. Respond.
Our minds can hold us to a standard, rules and roles. Our soul doesn’t believe in any of this and doesn’t want us weighed down with worry, stuff, etc. Our soul wants us to experience life verses being guarded and/or inhibited. Our soul does not wish to be imprisoned.
So let me leave you with a few other quotes from this movie. Think on how you can align to your personal power and freedom. To your soul.
“Every man dies… but not every man really lives.”
“It’s all for nothing if you don’t have freedom.”
“Your heart is free. Have the courage to follow it.”
Find your inner William Wallace. Be wild and free!
